BDO是一种重要的基本有机化工和精细化工原料，是世界上需求增长最快的化工产品之一。近几年来下游行业的快速发展，BDO 在中国一直处于供不应求的状态，成为全球最主要的净进口地区，2001—2005年期间进口依存度都超过了60％，2006—2007年期间进口依存度超过40%。

　　未来几年中国PBT 树脂、氨纶等下游行业的产能释放将带动BDO需求量的增长，根据BDO的主要下游产业产能扩张情况，我们估算了2008—2010年BDO需求增长情况。

　　本报告根据国家统计局，海关，上市公司公告及中国化工信息网等公布的数据，对BDO行业的现状进行分析，并对行业未来发展趋势进行预测。本报告还分析了9家中国主要BDO生产商采用的生产技术，产能及扩产计划等情况。

1,4—Butanediol (BDO) is an important raw material for basic organic chemical and fine chemicals and is one of chemical products with the biggest growth in demand in the world. In the recent years, the BDO downstream sector has developed rapidly, making China constantly short of BDO supply, so China has become the most important BDO net importer in the world. From 2001 to 2005, China’s reliance on BDO imports exceeded 60% and reduced to over 40% in 2006 to 2007.

In the next few years, China’s BDO demand will rise, boosted by the factor that capacity expansion projects of PBT resin and urethane elastic fiber will be gradually put into operation. We estimate the growth of China’s BDO demand in 2008 to 2010 based on the current key BDO capacity expansion projects in the downstream sector.

BDO’s high gross profit margin has stimulated quite a few manufacturers to expand the production capacity. This report estimates China’s BDO capacity expansion and also predicts its output in the period 2008-2010, based on the information of key BDO producers regarding their capacity expansion projects and the timing to bring the projects into operation.
